Working on a (borrowed) frame loom, make a sampler to learn tapestry weaving and flatwoven methods used in the Turkish rugs on display in the Figge. We will also visit the Turkish exhibition on display and discuss the prayer rugs, saddle bags, and other weavings so essential to the now disappearing nomadic traditions in Turkey.
