The luxury Current Iowa hotel plans to open July 5 in the nine-story Parker Building at 215 Main St. The Current is an art-inspired hotel — featuring works by local and regional artists — “which is being designed to be that special place in Davenport for those independent-minded travelers who are seeking an escape from the predictable.”
